Dennis Jones, who last week had a strong showing in the March 1 Republican primary for the open 244th Judicial District Court bench in Ector County, Tuesday announced his endorsement of Lori-Ruiz Crutcher to win the May 24 runoff for the spot he previously sought.
“I enjoyed getting to know Lori during the campaign and I have come to respect her intelligence, experience and vision for the Court. Lori shares the same values that prompted me to seek the position. Like me, she is dedicated to maintaining a respected, competent and hard-working judiciary for Ector County’s citizens,” Jones said in a news release.
Cindy Weir-Nutter and Ruiz-Crutcher will participate in a run-off election on May 24.
