Hospital board to discuss Family Health Clinic agreements

As Ector County Hospital District gets ready for a site visit this month, the board will discuss several agreements related to the Family Health Clinic today during their regular meeting.

The board will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in the board room of Medical Center Hospital, 500 W. Fourth St.

Ron Griffin, chief legal counsel for Medical Center Health System, said Monday in an email the Family Health Clinic is expecting a Health Resources and Services Administration operational Federally Qualified Health Center site visit May 22.

“These agreements were already in place, but they have been updated,” Griffin said in the email, adding that the updates are also for the purpose of the site visit.

Agreements related to the clinic include:

A physician service affiliation agreement between ECHD and the Family Health Clinic

A co-applicant agreement between ECHD and the Family Health Clinic, and

An administrative, equipment, facility and personnel agreement between ECHD, the clinic and MCH ProCare.

All three agreements all relate to affiliation/service type arrangements. They establish provider services, ancillary services and administrative services by and between ECHD, FHC and ProCare, Griffin said.

The board may also meet in executive session Tuesday to discuss an update on settlement documents in Meisell et al. v. ECHD et al, deliberate negotiations for health care services and deliberate exchange, lease or value of real property.
