At 7:45 a.m. Friday (Nov. 11), Odessa College employees and students will gather to honor veterans and observe the annual Veterans’ Day Flag Raising Ceremony at the Saulsbury Campus Center.
Odessa College instructional technology and programming specialist and military veteran Alex Moreno will be the featured speaker during the ceremony. After graduating from Odessa High School, Moreno joined the Marine Corps and served from October 1990 to November 2010. He was deployed twice during his service, once to Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, and again in Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq. After completing his military service, Moreno returned to Odessa and decided to pursue his college degree at Odessa College, as well as complete his bachelor’s degree in network and communication management at DeVry University.
The public is invited. Parking will be available on the north side of the Saulsbury Campus Center.
