Ector County ISD students will have an early release from school on Wednesday as district staff members will spend the afternoon in professional development and planning. This is the first of five early release days in the ECISD calendar for the 2021-22 school year.
It is important to note that three schools do not follow this early release schedule — Odessa Collegiate Academy and OCTECHS, which are aligned with the Odessa College calendar and observe these days on different dates; and Ector College Prep Academy, ECISD’s in-district charter partner which does not use early release days.
The dismissal times for Early Release are as follows. Buses will run their regular after-school routes based on these times:
>> Noel Elementary and Travis Elementary – 11:30 a.m.
>> All other elementary campuses – 11:40 a.m.
>> Carver EEC & Lamar EEC – Noon.
>> Odessa Collegiate Academy and OCTECHS – 12:20 p.m. Sept. 17.
>> Middle schools – 12:50 p.m. (does not include Ector Middle School).
>> Odessa High School – 1:35 p.m.
>> New Tech Odessa and Permian High School – 1:40 p.m.
