ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: June 20, 2022

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

David Bruce Burge, 35, had two counts of an aggravated assault with deadly weapon charge dismissed June 10. Judge Jay Gibson presided.

Jarod Everett Lam, 21, pleaded guilty June 13 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

Joseph Michael Cross, 29, pleaded guilty June 10 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Hector Pena was the attorney.

Lasheika Trenia Price, 43, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon charge dismissed June 10. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

Sally Alma Brown, 27, had an assault peace officer/judge charge dismissed June 10. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

BURGLARY

Casey Thorp, 30, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal June 9 on the charge of burglary of building (SJF). Judge Jay Gibson presided. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

Noel Lopez, 40, pleaded guilty June 10 to burglary of building and was sentenced to 427 days in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Matt L. Thomas was the attorney.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE

Jesse David Navarrette, 31, pleaded guilty June 10 to credit card abuse and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

DEADLY CONDUCT DISCHARGE FIREARM

Joseph Michael Cross, 29, had a deadly conduct discharge firearm charge dismissed June 10. Judge James Rush presided.

DWI

Gustavo Antonio Natividad, 26, had his probation revoked June 6 on the charge of driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years and was sentenced to 10 months in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Rudolf Moisiuc was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Eliel Abdi Zazueta, Jr., 21, pleaded guilty June 10 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to 10 years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Ezequiel Brandon Dominguez, 24, pleaded guilty June 10 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

INJURY TO AN ELDERLY PERSON

Jose Sergio Ayala, 46, pleaded guilty June 13 to injury to an elderly person and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

HINDER APPREHENSION OR PROSECUTION

Joann Renee Paredes, 30, had a hinder apprehension or prosecution charge dismissed June 13. Judge John Shrode presided. Lawrence Barber, Jr. was the attorney.

MANSLAUGHTER

Angelica Garcia, 39, was convicted June 9 two counts of intoxicated manslaughter with vehicle (F2) and was sentenced to 40 years in prison (20 years per count). Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

ONLINE SOLICITATION

Demetrio Alvarez, Jr., 47, had his probation revoked June 6 on the charge of online solicitation of a minor and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge John Shrode presided. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Abraham Munoz Navarrete, 45, pleaded guilty June 2 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, (Sjf) and was sentenced to six months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Rudolf Moisiuc was the attorney.

Albert Edmon Jones, 32, pleaded guilty June 10 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, and was sentenced to five years probation and five years in prison (suspended). Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Barbara Ann Franco, 57, pleaded guilty June 10 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to two years probation and two year in state jail (suspended). Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Edgar Osbaldo Renteria, 39, pleaded guilty June 10 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Hector Saenz, 21, pleaded guilty June 10 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Jeffrey Miles Fisk, 38, had a possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, charge dismissed June 9. Judge James Rush presided.

Jennifer Leigh Grooms, 49, pleaded guilty June 10 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Juan Manuel Valenzuela, 28, pleaded guilty June 10 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, and was sentenced to seven years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Stephen Wayne Blue, 33, pleaded guilty June 10 on the charge of lesser included offense of possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

ROBBERY

Eugene Medina Ortega, 19, pleaded guilty June 2 to two counts of aggravated robbery and was sentenced to 10 years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Bob Garcia and Phillip Wildman Jr. were the attorneys.

Jeremiah Nathaniel Padilla, 19, pleaded guilty June 10 to aggravated robbery and was sentenced to eight years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

STALKING

Johnathan Claude-Lee Wynne, 23, had a stalking charge dismissed June 13. Judge John Shrode presided.

TAMPER/FABRICATE

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

Jesse David Navarrette, 31, pleaded guilty June 10 to unauthorized use of vehicle and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

UNLAWFUL DISCLOSURE/ PROMOTION

Dawn Marie Green, 22, pleaded guilty June 1 to unlawful disclosure or promotion of intimate visual material and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.
