The City of Odessa has earned the Government Finance Officers Association’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award in excess of 30 consecutive years.
The award is the highest form of recognition in government budgeting.
Guidelines for the award are designed to assess how well the City of Odessa budget serves as: a policy document; a financial plan; and a communications device.
Budget documents must be proficient in all four categories and in 14 mandatory criteria within those categories to receive the award.
