ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: August 30, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Carlos Arturo Deleon, 31, had an assault, impede breathing FV charge dismissed Aug. 20. Judge James Rush presided. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

Jason Armendariz Lara, 43, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury (F2) and was sentenced to two years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Jordan Wayne Williams, 29, pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to assault family/household member previous conviction IAT and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

BURGLARY

Joseph Chad Howard, 37, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to burglary of building and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD ABUSE

Andrew Charles Yates, 33, had two counts of credit card abuse charges dismissed Aug. 23. Judge Justin Low presided.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Rumaldo Rodriguez Chavez, 28, pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to Criminal mischief more than $2,500, but less than $30,000 and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

DWI

Gerald Keith Wilborn, 45, had two counts driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years of age charge dismissed Aug. 23. Judge Justin Low presided.

Terry Don McBride, 53, pleaded guilty Aug. 17 to drinking while intoxicated, third or more and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Gary Garrison was the attorney.

ENDANGERING A CHILD

D’allen Renae Corbell, 39, pleaded guilty Aug. 17 to endangering a child (SJF) and was sentenced to 14 months in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

ESCAPE WHILE ARRESTED/CONFINED

>> Antonio Guardiola, 41, pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to escape while arrested/confined and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Daniel Sarabia Jr. was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Asa Wallace Dagley, 29, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to evading arrest detain with previous conviction and was sentenced to 180 days in county jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Christopher Mitchelle Ellingboe, 34, pleaded guilty Aug. 18 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Adrian Chavez was the attorney.

Dalton Sabul Zambrano, 21, pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Feliz Abalos was the attorney.

Esaie Urias, 18, had an evading arrest detain with vehicle charge dismissed Aug. 17. Judge James Rush presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Curtis Marlon Leiva, 36, pleaded guilty to fail to comply sex off duty to register life/90 day and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Feliz Abalos was the attorney.

Curtis Presley, 51, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to lesser included offense of attempted failure to comply sex offenders duty to register life/90 day and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

FRAUD

Joseph Chad Howard, 37, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to fraud use/possession identifying info # items 10 less than 50 and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

INDECENCY WITH CHILD SEXUAL CONTACT

Gregory Allen Strasser, 40, had two counts on indecency with child sexual contact charges dismissed Aug. 20. Judge James Rush presided. Jason Leach was the attorney.

MURDER

Johnny Ray Aguirre, 30, pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to capital murder and was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Austin Lee McKibben, 28, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to possession of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Adrian Chavez was the attorney.

Cassie Marie Saenz, 24, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed Aug. 17. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

Celestino Roman Ruiz, 34, pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to nine months in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

David Joel Hernandez, 28, was granted dismissal and discharge Aug. 20 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram. Judge James Rush presided. Mark D. Threadgill was the attorney.

Ector Ray Salinas, 52, pleaded guilty Aug. 18 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Frank Daniel Garcia, 64, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, (SJF) dismissed Aug. 11. Judge James Rush presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

George Galindo Mata, 35, pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Jesse Rey Villarreal, 27, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, more than four grams, but less than four grams, dismissed Aug. 17. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

ROBBERY

Alfonso Luis Cruz Chacon, 18, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to aggravated robbery and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Jason Leach was the attorney.

Maurice Laray Smith, 38, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to robbery and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Gregory Allen Strasser, 40, had a continuous sexual abuse of a child (F1) charge disposed Aug. 20. Judge James Rush presided. Jason Leach and Daniel W. Hurley was the attorney.

TAMPER/FABRICATE

Amber Michelle Bodie, 21, had a tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair charge dismissed Aug. 18. Judge John Shrode presided. Matthew Pospisil was the attorney.

Dariana Toscano, 26, had a tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair charge dismissed Aug. 19. Judge John W. Smith presided.

Frank Daniel Garcia, 54, pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Pedro Gandarilla, 28, pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair (F3) and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

THEFT

Christopher Mitchelle Ellingboe, 34, pleaded guilty Aug. 18 to theft property, more than $30,000, but less than $150,000 and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Jason Armendariz Lara, 43, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to theft property, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000 and was sentenced to 16 months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Jimmy Mendoza, 50, had a theft property, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000 (SJF), charge dismissed Aug. 23. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

Ranie McCarty, 30, pleaded guilty Aug. 11 to dawn theft property more than $2,500, but less than $30,000 and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Felix Neboh was the attorney.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

Austin Lee McKibben, 28, pleaded guilty Aug. 20 to unauthorize use of vehicle and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

UNLICENSED POSSESSION FIREARM BY FELON

James Dempsey Martin, 37, had an unlicensed possession firearm by felon charge dismissed Aug. 11. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.
