Deputies and EMS responded to a call of a possible drowning involving a 2-year-old boy Monday in Pleasant Farms, an Ector County Sheriff’s Office news release stated.

The release detailed they were called around 3:50 p.m. Monday to the 16500 block of S. Windmill Avenue.

Deputies were told by the mother her son had fallen into their swimming pool and she had pulled him out and called 911, the release stated.

The child was transported by ambulance to Medical Center Hospital, the release detailed, and his condition was unknown as of Monday afternoon.

Investigators were still on the scene as of about 5 p.m. Monday. No other updates were expected to be released Monday.
