American College of Lifestyle Medicine announces 2021 fellows for outstanding achievement

Eleven ACLM members, including a Midland doctor, earned fellowships for their contributions to the growing field of lifestyle medicine at the American College of Lifestyle Medicine’s annual conference, a press release detailed.

Midland’s Padmaja Patel, MD, DipABLM, Midland Health was one of 11 ACLM members honored on Nov. 5 during the conference that was reportedly attended by more than 2,300 physicians, allied health professionals, medical residents, health care executives, researchers and other leaders.

The American College of Lifestyle Medicine has honored 11 members with ACLM’s prestigious fellowship designation for outstanding achievement in the field of lifestyle medicine and exceptional dedication to advancing the organization’s mission.

“I am so pleased to congratulate the 2021 class of Fellows for demonstrating the highest standard of professional development and contributions to the fast-growing field of lifestyle medicine,” ACLM President Cate Collings, MD, MS, FACC, DipABLM, stated in the press release. “This year’s honorees have emerged as true leaders in pursuit of our shared mission to advance evidenced-based lifestyle medicine to treat, reverse and prevent non-communicable, chronic disease.”
