Greg T. Anderson can tell women all about men in all kinds of ways and he’s done so in books called “The Power of Crap” and “He’s Soooo into You… You Have No Idea (The ABC’s of Men).”

“He’s Sooo into You” is his third book. This and all of Anderson’s books are available on his website, gregtanderson.com.

As a little boy, he once saw his mother pulled by her hair along some jagged rocks. The image stuck with him. “I never got over it, and I asked her years later, I said, why did you date a man like that? And she said, he wasn’t like that in the beginning. What I found out was men hide who they are in the beginning. … I like to say it like this: Men present their avatar to women first and not their true selves,” Anderson said.

He thought that wasn’t right, so he wanted to pull the curtain back and let women see who men really are. Anderson said men have the advantage because they ask women for all the information, but they never give any information about themselves.

“That was the crux of that idea. I wanted to expose that for what it was because that was not fair for her to go through (that); no woman; so that’s where it comes from. I was raised by a bunch of women,” Anderson said.

He added that the greatest thing God has created on this Earth are women.

“Women are smart. They outthink us 10,000 to 1. I promise you there’s a guy right now who’s dressing nice because of his wife … We get all of our stuff from women. Women were created for men. … I just have so much affinity for single women. You know how hard that is?”

Anderson’s book has been out since August.

“I did a seminar (in August) at the MCM Elegante that went really well. … I just talked to them about the ABCs of Men …,” Anderson said.

He added that the book goes in alphabetical order. For A it’s men are addicted to women and it goes all the way to Z.

It took him about a year to research and then he wrote the book.

Anderson said he loves listening to women’s stories.

“This book was researched thoroughly. I use my own experiences, too, as a man because I’ve seen a lot of things and done a lot of things so I have that experience. And I listen. I feel like I’m a good listener. I love to listen to those stories. They tell me their challenges,” Anderson said.

He added that he chooses what he’s going to write about by inspiration.

“I never sit down and wonder what I’m going to write about today?” Anderson said.

What should go in and what should stay out is part of the editing process.

“That’s why I call it no fluff. I just took out all the fluff. I got right to the point because I didn’t want to make it a long book or ‘War and Peace.’ I know my target audience doesn’t have a lot of time. They’re very busy. It’s something they can put in their purse and grab. It’s very light,” Anderson said.

The former Permian High School and Baylor University football player said he has been writing since high school. He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Baylor.

Anderson said reaction to “He’s Sooo into You” has been amazing.

“I do a newsletter as well,” he said.

When he’s not writing, Anderson is a real estate broker.

Ector County Library Director Howard Marks said Anderson is a man of many talents and captivates an audience’s attention.

“He’s going for a female audience mostly, and he’s talking about relationships and how they fail. He’s giving relationship advice, but he’s pretty witty, and like I said, a really good presenter. He’s funny and I’ve had him for some guest author appearances, and it always went really well, Marks said. “You can count on him to deliver the content.”
