GOOD NEWS: City Employee of the Year

The Odessa Rotary Club recently honored the City of Odessa Employee of the Year at their weekly luncheon held on July 13.

City Manager Michael Marrero conducted the presentation which recognized the three city-wide finalists for this prestigious award.

The finalists were: Lakeisa “Keisa” Taylor in the City’s Billing and Collection Department, Ian Kapets of the Odessa Police Department, and Jesse Ely with Ratliff Ranch Golf Links. Keisa Taylor was named City of Odessa Employee of the Year at the presentation.

Each finalist received a beautiful plaque from the City and cash awards courtesy of the Odessa Rotary Club. Ely and Kapets each received $100 and Taylor received $400.

Rotary brings together a global network of volunteer leaders dedicated to tackling the worlds most pressing humanitarian challenges. Rotary connects 1.2 million members of more than 35,000 Rotary Clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas. Their work impacts lives at both the local and international levels, from helping families in need in their own communities to working toward a polio-free world.
