Albert Garza named manager of Odessa McCoy’s Building Supply

McCoy’s Building Supply announced on Thursday the appointment of Albert Garza as store manager of its Odessa location at 1131 West 42nd Street.

Garza joined McCoy’s five years ago working in the lumberyard at his hometown Odessa McCoy’s store. He moved into a retail operations position before raising his hand to join the company’s well-regarded Management Development program. He eventually went on to serve as assistant manager and store manager in several locations. Most recently, he was assistant manager in Midland.

“I am so excited to serve the community that I grew up in and lead our great team,” said Garza in a news release. “We’re ready to provide top-notch customer service to every person who walks through our doors. It’s our aim to always serve our customers to the best of our abilities.”

The Odessa McCoy’s is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The store is closed on Sundays to allow time for family and worship. The store carries high-quality building materials for a wide range of projects, available in-store and online with ship-to-store and delivery options.

McCoy’s is one of the nation’s largest privately held building supply retailers. It has provided quality building products and services to its “Born-to-Build” customers since 1927 and has earned the loyalty of builders, contractors, ranchers, and serious do-it-yourselfers. The company is led by Meagan McCoy Jones, President and CEO, and headquartered in San Marcos. Jones is the fourth generation of her family to lead the company. McCoy’s employs more than 3,000 people and operates 85 stores, three distribution centers and two millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. They can be found online at mccoys.com.
