Midland hosts ‘Fly Into Fall’

The City of Midland Department of Airports will host Fly Into Fall, a free education and interactive aviation experience for all ages. Food trucks, face painting, jumpers, exhibits, and more will be available.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 26 at Midland Airpark, 901 Veterans Airpark Lane, Midland.

Event schedule:

  • 9 a.m. Fly Into Fall Gates Open
  • 9:30 a.m. Grand Marshals Arrival – Member-Elect, State Board of Education Aaron Kinsey
  • 10 a.m. Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Fly-in
  • 10:15 a.m. Flying Tees – free T-Shirts (First Round)
  • 10:30 a.m. Grand Marshal Aaron Kinsey: Speaker/Q&A on being an Air Force Pilot
  • 11:30 a.m. Former NASA Astronaut Gregory H. Johnson: Speaking/Q&A on being an Astronaut
  • 12:15 p.m. Flying Tees – free T-Shirts (Second Round)
  • 12:30 p.m. Leah Robertson: Speaker/Q&A on being an Army Helicopter Mechanic
  • 1 p.m. Brianna Ortiz: Speaker/Q&A on being a future Aerospace Engineer
  • 1:30 p.m. CAF Fly-out
