TEXAS WARRIOR MUDOUT

Texas Warrior Mudout, a Be The Change Permian Basin event, will take place today at Rock the Desert, 2000 S. FM 1788.

Packets may be picked up from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.

First heat will hit the battlefield beginning at 9 a.m. Remaining teams will be cycled through depending on number of participants.

Teams will complete obstacles over roughly a 5k course that will rely on team skills and support. All obstacles must be completed by the team before moving to the next obstacle. Working together you will be successful and build lasting bonds with friends and learn to work together as a team and a community. Teams should be a minimum of three but there is no maximum.

Participants must be 16 or older and complete on-line registration form and sign waiver.

All proceeds go to Be the Change Permian Basin, a local non-profit organization, dedicated to creating a positive shift in the culture of the youth in our community.

WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S

The Alzheimer’s Association has scheduled a charity walk to raise money for Alzheimer’s research and treatment today at Cimarex Pavilion, 5514 Champions Drive, Midland.

The event opens at 9 a.m., opening ceremony begins at 10 a.m., and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m.

The City of Odessa Parks and Recreation will present the 12th annual Fall Festival from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at McKinney Park.

The event is free.

There will be games, zip line, rope course, inflatables, climbing wall, a maze, face painting, science show, BMS show, bird show, PHS/OHS pie eating contest, hot air balloon rides, Pilot Club Bicycle Helmet Giveaway, cookie walk, treasure hunt, food court and more.
