Midland Festival Ballet to perform ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’

Midland Festival Ballet invites you to join them at the final performances of their 30th Anniversary Season, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” This beautiful adaptation of Shakespeare’s comedy has it all: humor, romance, magic, mayhem — there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center. Both performances will be accompanied by the West Texas Symphony and members of the WTS Chorale. The ballet runs for an hour and a half. This includes a 20-minute Intermission between Act 1 and 2, so the whole family can comfortably enjoy the show. Tickets are available at midlandfestivalballet.org.

This production features renowned dancers Nicole Von Enck and Joamanuel Velazquez of Texas Ballet Theater dancing the principal roles of Titania and Oberon, Queen and King of the Fairies. Eight more professional dancers from New Jersey Ballet, Ballet San Antonio, and Manassas Ballet Theatre will also share the stage with MFB’s talented student dancers.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is underwritten by the FMH Foundation, with additional support from the Arts Council of Midland and Odessa Arts.
