The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health in the Permian Basin has scheduled an event to discuss popular new weight loss meds with featured speaker Elisa Brown-Pruett from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, at the Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, 305 E 5th St.

Elisa Brown-Pruett, M.D., is an associate professor at the TTUHSC School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, director of Reproductive Endocrinology, and regional director of the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health in the Permian Basin. She supervises OB/GYN residents and oversees a federal grant aimed at lowering the extremely high rates of teen pregnancy and maternal mortality in the Permian Basin.

Weight loss is definitely a hot topic. Learn the facts about the new diabetes and obesity drugs that seem to work really well.
