Erik Portillo

March 29 Odessa police arrested 29-year-old Erik Portillo and charged him with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a second-degree felony; and tampering with physical evidence and prohibited substance in a correctional facility, both of which are third-degree felonies.. Officers pulled over a white Chevrolet Impala, driven by Portillo, in the area of 52nd Street and Redbud Avenue at 1:39 a.m. March 29. Police found methamphetamine on the passenger seat and backseat floorboard. Portillo was placed into custody and transported to the Ector County Detention Center. While at the jail, Portillo was found to have three more bags of methamphetamine hidden inside of his underwear. The total weight of the methamphetamine was about 30.04 grams. Portillo, 1480 E. 51st St., Fort Stockton, was being held March 31 at the Ector County Detention Center on $37,500 bond.
