United Way of Odessa, 128 E. Second St., has scheduled the 2017 Day of Caring benefiting the Odessa Council for the Arts & Humanities from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
United Way staff and volunteers will come together to assess and provide maintenance to Odessa’s city-wide art sculptures and help make a difference in Odessa.
Volunteers will meet at the United Way of Odessa office at 8 a.m. before heading to the designated sculpture site(s).

Keep Odessa Beautiful has scheduled the Don’t Mess with Texas Trash Off event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Noel Heritage Plaza, 320 W. Fifth St.
There will be children’s activities, educational booths and a special performance by Vocal Trash.
Residents are encouraged to clean up a part of the city. Keep Odessa Beautiful will supply the trash bags and gloves for all trash pick-ups.
Bulky Items collected can be legally disposed of for free at the Citizen Bulk Item Drop-off Center, 814 W. 42nd St. Accepted items include mattresses, electronics, appliances and more. The center is open from 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Permian Basin Youth Football League (PBYFL) has scheduled a charity paintball tournament starting at 10 a.m. Saturday at Odessa Area Outdoor Gun Range Paintball, 18200 W. I-20.
Early check in on Friday gets free course pass and rentals to practice all day. Paintballs sold separately.
Registration fee is $150 and covers rentals, course pass and first case of paintballs for a team of five players. Remaining $200 due at check in goes to PBYFL.
