One of the afternoon sessions for teachers will introduce them to a new college-and-career-readiness app called ACCESSLIFE.
ACCESSforSUCCESS is a career exploration platform developed locally by Star Tech Group and launched in 2018. It connects students to professionals in a variety of industries, helping them explore their interests and create their plans for the future. In Ector County ISD three departments collaborate with ACCESS – AVID, Post-secondary, and Career and Technical Education. The new smartphone app is a way to allow students even more access (so to speak). The presentation on Oct. 20 will take place at 4 p.m. p.m. in the Zant Room at Odessa College, 201 W. University Blvd.
