A three-vehicle crash Sunday evening in central Odessa sent six people to the hospital, including one Odessan who is in critical condition at Medical Center Hospital.

Officers were called about the crash at about 10:17 p.m. Sunday near 16th Street and Muskingum Avenue.

A black 2002 Dodge Ram driven by 49-year-old Guadalupe Ruiz of Colorado, with passenger Marrufo Alvaro, 41, was driving west on 16th Street, an Odessa Police Department news release stated.

At the same time, a green 2015 Jeep Wrangler was traveling east on 16th Street, being driven by 37-year-old Fernando Rodriguez of Odessa, the release detailed, and a black 2002 GMC Yukon was traveling north on Muskingum Avenue, driven by 18-year-old Alexander Juarez of Odessa, with two 16-year-old passengers, Johnny Hernandez and Joseph Hermosillo.
