Brower received a grant worth $2,500 from the State Farm Teacher Assist program to help her pack Scholars in Progress bags with essential supplies including journals, pencils, erasers and a watercolor paint set for her students to use. The State Farm Teacher Assist program invited teachers from across Texas to submit innovative ideas for an opportunity to be selected for a grant. Out of 200 submissions, 40 were selected to help teachers implement their ideas in the classroom.
