A roast of University of Texas of the Permian Basin President David Watts is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday (April 13) at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center main auditorium. Doors open at 7:15 p.m.
Watts is resigning in August after heading the university since 2001.
Tickets are available and free for UTPB students who show their student ID at the Wagner Noël box office. Non-students may purchase general admission tickets for $20.
The box office is open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. All tickets must be picked up and/or bought at the Wagner Noël box office through April 11. The box office will not be open the night of the event.
Proceeds from the roast will benefit the W. David and Denise C. Watts Endowed Presidential Scholarship at UTPB.
