Jan. 31 Odessa police arrested 43-year-old Tony Lopez for an outstanding felony warrant out of El Paso for evading arrest with a vehicle, a state jail felony. Lopez was also charged with false identification (fugitive from justice), a class A misdemeanor. Officers pulled over a Ford Aerostar in the 3600 block of North Dixie Boulevard at 8:19 p.m. Jan. 31. The driver initially gave officers a false name and date of birth but was eventually identified as Lopez. Investigation revealed Lopez had a felony warrant out of El Paso for evading. Lopez, 803 Roxanna Ave., was being held Feb. 3 at the Ector County Detention Center without bond.
