Shayna Nicole Goode

March 18 Odessa police arrested 27-year-old Shayna Nicole Goode and charged her with driving while intoxicated with a child passenger and two counts of endangering a child, all of which are state jail felonies; and deadly conduct, a class A misdemeanor. Officers responded at 6:19 p.m. March 18 to the 1300 block of West University Boulevard in reference to a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed that after a 29-year-old man got into an argument with his wife at the Washateria, he attempted to leave the scene in his white Dodge Ram. His wife then got into a gray sedan and intentionally rammed his vehicle about six times. The gray sedan later struck a second vehicle before crashing into a mailbox in the 3200 block of West University Boulevard. Officers made contact with the driver of the sedan, identified as Goode, and could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her. There were two passengers in the vehicle, a 4-year-old girl and a 3-month-old boy. Goode failed field sobriety tests. Goode was charged and arrested accordingly. The two children were released to a family member after the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services was notified. There were no reports of any injuries. Goode, 10532 W. Bradley Drive, was released March 21 from the Ector County Detention Center on $24,000 bond.
