ORMC receives 5-star rating for Women’s Care

Odessa Regional Medical Center announced it has been named a 5-star recipient for Women’s Care by Healthgrades, an online resource for information about physicians and hospitals.

The rating indicates the hospital’s clinical outcomes are statistically significantly better than expected when treating the condition or performing the procedure being evaluated, an ORMC news release stated.

“We constantly strive to provide the highest quality care to our patients throughout every stage of life,” ORMC President Stacey Gerig Brown said in a prepared statement. “In every step of the delivery process, our Women’s care Team works to bring the highest quality to our patients and their newborn children.”

Healthgrades analyzed all-payer state data for 17 states for years 2013 through 2015 and found that there is a significant variation in hospital quality between those who have received 5-stars and those who have not, the release stated.
