A 19-year-old man was transported to the hospital with 2nd-degree burns after an early morning fire Sunday. It sparkedaround 4:44 am. Odessa Fire Rescue responded to the incident on the 9400 block of W. Westridge Drive. No word on how thefire started, a news release said.
With these chilly conditions, the City of Odessa want to remind the community of some fire safety tips. Keep flammable itemsaway from heaters, use a fireplace screen, and never leave candles unattended to stay safe in cold weather.
