Jimmy Choate holds up his fingers while counting tones from his Cochlear implant as it is being adjusted on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at All About Hearing in Midland. Choate, who has suffered from cerebral palsy and lived without hearing in his left ear most of his life, recently had surgery in June to implant the device that will bring back his hearing.
