MIDLAND Sockers FC forward Julio Vargas was named the National Premier Soccer League Player of the Week, the league announced on Thursday.

Vargas recorded four goals and one assist last week in victories against Laredo Heat SC and Katy 1895 FC.

Sockers FC currently sit at 5-2-1 overall, 5-1-1 in the National Premier Soccer League.
