March 25 Odessa police arrested 22-year-old Kristal Lynette Villa and charged her with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), a state jail felony. Officers pulled over a blue Jeep Compass, driven by Villa, in the 1000 block of North Dixie Boulevard at 7 p.m. March 25. Police made contact with Villa and could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and found 12 bags of marijuana (2.91 pounds), a digital scale and a glass smoking pipe. Villa, 2415 S. Acapulco Ave., was released March 26 from the Ector County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
