ABILENE The Permian boys and girls gymnastics teams each found themselves on the winning side Friday.
The Panthers put up a team total of 156.500 to finish ahead of Odessa High, Abilene Cooper and Abilene High, while the Lady Panthers beat those same three schools with a team total of 107.050 in their optional meet at Jefferson Middle School.
Joannaly Gonzalez took down the all-around title for the Permian girls with a score of 36.100, while Nicholas Drakus of Odessa High claimed the boys all-around crown by scoring 51.100 on his events.
