HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Hallmark hits home run, pitches shutout in Midland High’s win over Permian

MIDLAND For the second time in the District 2-6A schedule, Jaxon Hallmark has hit a home run and thrown a shutout in the same game for the Midland High baseball team.

The University of Nebraska signee blanked Permian 8-0 on Friday at Zachery Field.

Hallmark allowed three hits and collected 12 strikeouts for the Bulldogs (12-12 overall, 6-3 District 2-6A). Tyler Wade finished with a pair of extra base hits — a home run and a double.

Seth Higdon was tagged with the loss for Permian (6-17-1, 1-8).
