GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Ballard named new coach at Andrews

ANDREWS Dylan Ballard has been named the new head coach of the Andrews High School girls basketball team, according to a press release from the school district on Tuesday.

Ballard’s contract was approved by the AISD Board of Trustees during the April meeting.

Ballard comes to Andrews after spending three years as the head boys basketball coach at Olney.

He also served as the head coach for boys and girls golf and as an assistant coach for football, baseball and track during his time in Olney.

Prior to arriving in Olney, Ballard spent three years at Stamford ISD where he served in several assistant coaching positions.

Ballard began his coaching career at Knox City High School.

He was the head girls basketball coach for the junior high and high school teams.

In his final year with the Lady Greyhounds, Ballard led his team to a district championship and the area round of playoffs.

Following the season, Bullard was named District 8-1A Coach of the Year.
