Food bank hosting free nutrition and wellness classes

The West Texas Food Bank is hosting three free nutrition and wellness classes to help individuals, families and seniors lead healthier lives.
“As a Food Bank, we are dedicated to ensuring that everyone has food to eat,” food bank Executive Director Libby Campbell said. “But we also want to make sure we are providing information that will make our community healthier. This includes everything from how to prepare nutritious meals on a budget, to planning meals for diabetics, as well as how to be physically active.”
The three classes are from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 19, Jan. 25 and Jan. 26 at 1601 Westcliff Drive. The first class is “Food Safety Tips: At Risk Populations.” The second is titled “Your Guide to Diet & Diabetes: Meal Planning.” The final class is “Expecting Mothers: Foods with Folic Acid.”
Registration is requested, but not required, by calling 580-6333.
