Danielle Powell, Jonathan Schmauch

March 25 Odessa police arrested 31-year-old Jonathan Schmauch and charged him with false identification (fugitive from justice), a class A misdemeanor; and for an outstanding felony parole violation warrant. Police also arrested 29-year-old Danielle Powell and charged her with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a state jail felony. While patrolling the 2200 block of North Adams Avenue at 11 p.m. March 25, officers made contact with a man and a woman who were suspiciously walking around a parked vehicle. The woman, identified as Powell, was found to be in possession of a used syringe and methamphetamine. The man initially gave officers a false name but was later identified as Schmauch. Investigation revealed Schmauch had a felony parole violation warrant. Powell, 1735 W. 25th St., was released March 28 from the Ector County Detention Center on $7,500 bond. Schmauch, 2116 W. 18th St., was being held March 29 at the Ector County Detention Center without bond.
