The Odessa College men’s and women’s basketball teams have been picked to finish in the top five in the WJCAC preseason polls which were released Wednesday morning.
The Lady Wranglers are picked to finish third, behind New Mexico Junior College and South Plains College, for the 2023-24 season.
Odessa College is coming off a 16-10 overall, 9-5 in WJCAC, record from last year.
Franqua Bedell enters his third season as the head coach of the Lady Wranglers.
The Odessa College men’s basketball team was picked to finish second after finishing 30-4, 15-1 last year.
The Wranglers made it to the quarterfinals of the NJCAA tournament in Hutchinson, Kan. last year.
