Ector County maintenance workers check the ceiling where water leaked into the Ector County Clerk’s office Thursday afternoon in the Ector County Courthouse. County Clerk Linda Haney said the water came from the Community Education Centers, Inc. Ector County Correctional Center where an independent contractor had been replacing flush valves in the toilets and water spilled over. Many of the desks and bookcases in the county clerk’s office were covered with plastic.
