UTPB senior Tatiana Leggiero was named this week’s Lone Star Conference Player of the Week.
She is the first player to earn offensive honors in program history.
Legiero had a strong performance in the Falcons’ 5-1 win over West Texas A&M last week, which was the program’s first victory over the Lady Buffs.
Her goal against West Texas A&M came just 25 seconds into the start of the second half and it was her third straight game of scoring a goal.
UTPB (3-3-3 overall, 1-1-2 in conference) is off to its best conference start in program history.
The Falcons will next play at Angelo State at 7 p.m. Wednesday in San Angelo.
