ALPINE The UTPB women’s soccer team won its second consecutive game with a 3-2 victory over Sul Ross State Tuesday on the road.
Playing in a nonconference game, the Falcons improved to 2-2-1 for the season and erased a 2-0 first half deficit with goals by Maria Tarrago and Carolina Farias.
Emily Garcia put Sul Ross State in front with her 18th minute strike and her teammate Karina Gallegos made it 2-0 in the 21st minute.
Tarrago scored two first half goals to tie everything up and Farias put the Falcons ahead with her 71st minute goal.
UTPB will begin Lone Star Conference play at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Dallas Baptist.
