UTPB women’s golfer Arnie Taguines earned this year’s Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year award.
The announcement was made during the conference banquet Sunday in Thackerville, Okla. where the LSC championship tournament is currently taking place.
She has one win and six top-10 finishes this season including seventh in the West Texas A&M Fall Invitational, first at the RJGA Shootout, fifth in the Trevecca Music City Invite, sixth in the SW Air HPU Shark Shootout, second in the Dennis Rose Invitational and sixth in the CAV Classic.
She was also named conference Player of the Week back in Sept.
