WOMEN’S COLLEGE GOLF: Lady Wranglers sixth after first round at nationals

GARDEN CITY, KAN. The Odessa College women’s golf team finished up the first day of competition at the NJCAA Women’s National Championships in sixth place with a score of 313.

The Lady Wranglers were led by Ailsa Brannock who shot a 74, while Claudia Alnajim Revuelta went 79, Rylie Rodriguez and Bailey Ballou both had 80 and Zara Houghton finished with 86.

Seminole State (Fla.) currently sits in first place with a score of 293 while Dayton a State College is second at 300 and Redlands Community College is tied for third with Barton County Community College at 311.

The national championship will resume Wednesday with the second round.
