The UTPB women’s basketball team continued its undefeated run at home this season while extending its winning streak to six games with a 72-55 win over Western New Mexico Saturday at Falcon Dome.
The Falcons (10-2 overall, 5-1 in Lone Star Conference) were led in scoring by Kamryn Lemon’s 22 points while Andreea Mancha had 16 and Alexus Quaadman finished with 13.
Mancha surpassed the 1,000 career points mark.
The Falcons shot 26-60 from the field and 5-15 on 3-pointers while going 15-27 from the line.
Western New Mexico (7-6, 2-4) was led by Larissa Laborin who had 13 points while Jade Goynes had 10.
The Mustangs went 20-56 from the floor, going 5-16 on 3-pointers and 10-19 from the free throw line.
The Falcons will next face Lubbock Christian at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 11 in Lubbock.
