WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UTPB falls to Adams State

DENTON The UTPB women’s basketball team’s historic season came to an end with a 96-83 loss to Adams State in the first round of the NCAA Division II tournament Friday at Kitty Magee Arena.

Playing in the tournament for the first time since 2013, the Falcons were unable to catch the Lady Grizzlies.

UTPB’s season ends at 24-8 while Adams State (25-8) moves to the second round.

The Falcons were led in scoring by Alexus Quaadman who finished with 23 points while both Kamryn Lemon and Holly Hemmeline had 11 points each.

Adams State was led by Riahana Davis’ 23 points while Harmanie Dominguez had 21 and Elaina Watson finished with 16 points.
