WOLFFORTH The Odessa College women’s basketball team just made the field of the NJCAA Region V Tournament as the fourth-place entrant from the Western Junior College Athletic Conference.
Now, the Lady Wranglers are in the semifinals after routing Collin County Community College, 94-58, in a first-round game Thursday at Wolfforth Frenship High School.
Shannon Dozier had a game-high 18 points to lead Odessa College, with Julan McDonald (15), Amanda Soderqvist (14) and Wytalla Motta (10) all adding double-digit efforts.
The Lady Wranglers, who hit 12-of-22 3-pointers, will face the winner of Midland College-Hill College at 6 tonight.
