The UTPB men’s basketball team defeated Sul Ross State in a nonconference game Monday afternoon 86-54 at Falcon Dome.
With the victory, the Falcons moved to 2-1 for the season.
Jordan Horn led the scoring for UTPB with 23 points, going 8-12 on field goals and 5-8 from 3-point land. He was 2-4 from the line.
Miles Daniels had 11 points for the Falcons, going 4-11 on field goals and 2-6 on 3-pointers and 1-2 from free throws.
The Lobos were led by Julian Paredes who had nine points, going 3-9 on field goals, 1-4 on 3-pointers and 2-2 from the line.
Trey Nelson had eight points and was 2-2 on field goals, 1-1 on 3-pointers and 3-4 on free throws.
It was the third consecutive home game for the Falcons.
UTPB opened the season with a 79-77 win over Adams State on Friday before falling 69-68 to Westminster on Saturday.
The Falcons will not be on the court again until Nov. 26 when they face Northwest (Wash.) in Kirkland, Wa.
