Sewell signs to play football at Clemson

Permian senior offensive lineman Harris Sewell announced a verbal commitment to the Clemson Tigers in June and he officially signed a commitment to their program on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4, 305-pound senior in the 2023 class chose Dabo Swinney’s program over his other finalists, following a great senior season with Permian High School, during which he had 26 pancakes, 20 knockdowns, and 0 sacks allowed.

Sewell is recognized as:

>> No. 2 Offensive Guard in the Country by ESPN class of 2023

>> 2023 Under Armour All-American Game Invitee

>> 2023 1st Team, All-District (Senior)

>> 2022 Unanimous 1st Team, All-District (Junior)

>> 2021 1st Team, All-District (Sophomore)

>> 2020 2nd Team, All-District (Freshman)

>> Voted by Peers as Best Offensive Lineman 2021

“I’m really excited to enroll in January,” Sewell said regarding his commitment. “It’s a great opportunity for me to get adapted to the new lifestyle and learn the offense.”

As for what Clemson can expect, Sewell says he dreams of winning a national championship one day and hopes to make that a reality in his time on the team. “Tiger fans can expect an offensive lineman who’s going to work hard day in and day out,” Sewell said. “My dream is to win a national championship, so hopefully I can help make that a reality in the next few years.”
