BLAINE, MINN. The Odessa Jackalopes began the 2023-24 season with a 6-3 loss to Maryland Wednesday in the NAHL Showcase in Minnesota.
The Jackalopes took a 2-1 lead after the first period before giving up three goals in the second period and two in the third.
The Black Bears had 37 shots total while the Jackalopes had 29.
Odessa will be back in action at 7:30 p.m. Thursday against Bismarck in the Showcase.
