NORTH AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE: Jackalopes continue winning run

The Odessa Jackalopes continued their winning ways with a 4-1 victory over the Corpus Christi IceRays Friday at Ector County Coliseum.

The Jackalopes, who currently sit in seventh in the North American Hockey League South Division standings, have now won three consecutive games and now sit at 11-10-2 with 26 points.

Corpus Christi (9-15-1) remains in eighth with 21 points.

After getting behind early, the Jackalopes scored four unanswered goals, beginning with Charlie Smith’s goal in the first period to tie the game up.

James Richman put the Jackalopes in front with his second period goal and Kowin Belsterling and Michael Kadlecik both added to Odessa’s lead with their goals in the third period.

Both teams will be back on the ice at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at Ector County Coliseum to finish up the series.
