NATIONAL PREMIER SOCCER LEAGUE: West Texas FC, Matadors to meet up again

MIDLAND West Texas FC will be closing out its regular season at home against the Lubbock Matadors Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Astound Broadband Stadium.

It’ll be the second leg of the rivalry known as “El Dustico”.

West Texas FC won the first leg, 1-0, off a goal by Tajay Grant in the 96th minute on Wednesday in Lubbock, delivering the Matadors their first loss of the season.

Lubbock currently sits in first place in the Lone Star Conference of the National Premier Soccer League at 9-1-0.

West Texas FC is currently in third at 7-2-1 while Brownsville is second with the same record but ahead with a goal differential of 20 to West Texas FC’s 10.

Both West Texas FC and the Matadors already have a spot in the playoffs secured.
