HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Pools unveiled for 7on7 state tournament

COLLEGE STATION Three Permian Basin schools were among the 128 teams who found out their path to a 7on7 title Monday as part of the Texas 7on7 Championships that start Thursday at Veterans Park and Athletic Complex.

In the Division III (Class 3A Division II and below) Championship, Wink is in Pool E with Bremond, Comfort and Electra. Crane drew Group F with East Bernard, Rogers and Tenaha. Van Horn sits in Pool H with Albany, Daingerfield and Ganado.

Both the Division III and Division II (4A, 3A Division I and small private schools) run Thursday with pool play followed by a single elimination bracket Friday.

The Division I (5A, 6A, SPC, TAPPS) bracket starts Friday with pool play and continues Saturday with consolation and championship brackets.
