OHS quarterback Mikey Cota was named this week’s 6A Built Ford Tough High School Player of the Week.
In last Friday’s 71-70 overtime victory over San Angelo Central, Cota went 27-of-38 passes for a school record 534 yards and eight touchdowns.
The Bronchos now sit at 5-1 overall, 2-0 in District 2-6A play and are just one victory away from a playoff appearance.
Odessa High will face Midland High 7-0, 2-0 at 7 p.m. Friday in Midland.
